MBABANE – It is a week of revival and soul fulfilment! To those who attended the first day of the ‘Back to the cross’ revivals, the reviving Word of God and uplifting performances from local artists are still fresh in their minds.

The week-long revivals are being hosted by Bishop Mpendulo Nkambule and Zanele Mbokazi of Word of Hope Church.
The event started on a high on Monday as Apostle Sandile Mlambo delivered a powerful sermon, while local artists shared the stage with South African gospel star, Mpume Hlabisa, to render fulfilling performances.

The visiting gospel star has two albums under her name and she did not disappoint on stage as she performed songs such as, ‘Ogama Lingu Jesu’ and ‘Mawushe Umsebenzi’.

Roped

Locally, the church roped in the likes of Phetsile Masilela and Shongwe and Khuphuka.
Today, the services will see Bishop Makamo from South Africa, preaching the word of God and on stage, gospel sensation Dr Tumi is set to touch the congregation’s lives through his music.

Bishop Mpendulo Nkambule confirmed that popular figures would be in the country.

Heard

“They will be here and from what has been said, Dr Tumi could be coming with a surprise act. We invite people to come and witness their lives being changed,” he said.
The bishop’s wife, Zanele Mbokazi, said today’s combination was an amazing one as both preachers were popular figures.
“This is the time that we go back to the cross and do the basic thing that is required from us as Christians. We are pushing the message of the cross. We are grateful for the support we are receiving as people are coming in great numbers, even when the weather is not so good,” Mbokazi said.
