MBABANE – The recent launch of Nkomazi Jazz Festival hit the right note when people got to learn about the artists who will be there.

During the launch at Leopard Creek Golf Club, where the big reveal was preceded by flawless performances, Bholoja’s name also dominated as he was announced as the international artist set to make them dance. This is the second instalment of the Nkomazi Annual Jazz Festival.  The event is set to take place on December 22 at Kamhlushwa Stadium.

“On this day the Jazz Fans and music lovers will descend on Nkomazi to do what they do best-create and celebrate great music, it is an initiative of Anele Mbasane Entertainment, Nkomazi Municipality and Nkomazi Fm,”Anele Mbasane said. The executive producer of the event, Mbasane, believes this year’s line-up is unique and emphasizes the hard work and passion that has gone into building one of Mpumalanga’s most important Jazz festivals.

Great

“We as festival producers, spend a great deal of time seeking out artists who we believe will appeal to a wide spectrum of music fans. We want to present a diverse range of music styles, inclusive of giants of Jazz, Afro-soul and the upcoming young lions,” he added. He said people would get the different soulful sounds that have dominated the Jazz genre. “There’s something for everyone in this year’s line-up which, we believe, is inclusive in all standards and truly inspirational. The event reinforces its status as Mpumalanga’s foremost Jazz festival, thanks to our stellar line-up of musicians,” he further shared.

The crowds must look forward to being wowed by award-winning Ringo Madlingozi joined by the legendary South Africa’s Soul Brothers and Bholoja. Afrotraction and Blu Lamp will also display their talent for the first time on this stage. Tickets are on sale at E200. Mbasane said local music lovers who will attend would find accommodation prepared for them as they were currently working around getting suitable accommodation closer to the venue.
