‘BABES’ DRIVES FUN LOVERS WILD

MATSAPHA – Babes Wodumo must have felt the energy and emotion from the crowd which inspired her to render a vibrant performance.


In front of a packed and admiring crowd, the gqom queen who hails from Kwa-Zulu Natal, opened her unforgettable performance with a set of dance moves and inviting gqom music selection delivered by three male dancers from Wodumo Entertainment and DJs, Ndlo and Liza Boy, also from the stable.
The DJs were a marvel to watch even during Babes Wodumo’s performance as they selected and mixed the songs she performed.


Climbed


The international artist gave one of her best performances when she climbed on stage at 2pm while armed with three dancers, two DJs, one drummer and one female backing vocalist.
The ‘Angisona sisdakwa’ hitmaker started her talent showcase by performing her hit songs such as ‘Ka Dazz’ and ‘Jaiva Phez’kombhede’, before changing unleashing the dancer in her.
“We are done with performing songs now, it is time for us to dance,” she said after removing her jacket, remaining with an outfit that left little to imagination.


The energetic gqom singer was joined by her dancers as they performed the latest dance moves while also bringing their own style which was well-received by the entertained crowd.


Crew


After her performance, she briefly went back stage where she continued dancing with her crew while her DJs proved their worth with the best of gqom beats.
During her performance, the audience was caught between dancing and capturing every moment of the performance as they were glued on stage. Other music lovers even climbed on top of the security barriers to get clear view.
Her sister and member of her management, Nondumiso Simelane, said it was always the ‘Wololo’ hitmaker’s vision to come and perform in the country.


She said they were truly excited about the booking and thoroughly prepared for it. Simelane availed herself after Babes Wodumo said she was too tired to conduct interviews with the media. 


Happy


The organiser of the event, DJ Mfundo of Cool Swazi said they were happy with the overwhelming turn out as the venue recorded a full house.
“We are the first stable to bring Babes Wodumo in the country and she lived up to expectations, all that we are going to say is that thank you to the nation for the amazing support and there is more to come,” He said.
Moreover, the dance floor changed from captivated fans to a lively scene when DJ MBO took over from the international artist and gave the best of house music.
He performed for an hour and made everyone dance before handing over the decks to the Twins of a Kind, who also brought the house down with their performance.
