MBABANE – Spirituality, versatility, style and powerful voices owned the two sets unleashed by Praise Unlimited Choir during their CD and DVD live recording last Friday.

The presence of gospel greats such as Mduduzi neziNceku Zamagawugawu, crowned the night for the rising choir which rose above the ‘up and coming’ tag and delivered a memorable act during their four-hour long performance.

The highly charged worship evening saw the band also showcasing their stylish outfits on stage that included the currently trending pilot suits. It was simply a successful night for the fresh and vibrant band led by Masuku. The live recording was held at Free Evangelical Church auditorium where over 1500 people pulled through. The show started at just after 8:30pm last Friday evening.

“I am still at a loss for words. We thank God; He showed His face during this event, without Him we would not be able to pull off this event. We thank everyone who supported us,” Masuku said.
He added the CD and DVD would soon be available in music stores around the country.

The mouthpiece and backing vocalist, Nathie Xaba thanked their music coach, Basta, for dedicating his time and skills on the project.
“We are grateful for what Basta and his wife did for the choir, since we started in February. We also thank the pastors who supported us throughout the journey,” Xaba said.

Moreover, the accomplishment not only saw the band fulfilling a lifelong dream of the co-founders, but also gave gospel music lovers the time of their lives with old hymns which were infused with new songs. Among the many worship songs that introduced their performance on stage was titled ‘To be like you’, which was led by Jabu, who was a crowd favourite. Thandeka and Mthombo also threatened to lift the roof when they led the song ‘Yehla mlilo’.
