MBABANE – It’s going to be fun! First National Bank (FNB) Smooth Festival is back and this year, the digital bank is going bigger and better as per their motto. They will be giving a much larger platform to local artists to perform at the FNB SmoothFest scheduled for November 24, at Riders Ranch in Sidvokodvo.

This year the bank with a heart has announced that locals Zamo, Symphony, Qibho Intellectual and Sands will have an opportunity to perform on the same stage with South African Afro Soul singer Lira, Freshly Ground, Jonas Ngwangwa and Mahhotela Queens.
Premium tickets will be selling for E770, VIP/Platinum tickets for E530 and general tickets for E350. Tickets will go on sale on August 20, 2018 at Computicket and all FNB Branches nationwide.
Making his speech during the launch of the festival this past Sunday was FNB Chief Executive Officer , Dennis Mbingo who said locals should make sure that they get their tickets early.

“Our country is experiencing an increase in activity from the creative cconomy.  More and more young people are choosing self-employment and creative freedom versus climbing corporate or political ladders.  This diversifying of employment opportunities is fully understandable and supportable by the corporate sector, and specifically FNB,” said Mbingo.

He further said, local artists from all genres have even a greater opportunity to sell their craft and build their brands during this festival, and as FNB they have supported this evolution and are happy to encourage local counterparts in the private sector to support these investments in the Arts.  He added that the local youth could use all the help they can get.
“We have proudly hosted local stars such as Sands , Bholoja ,Velemseni, Judah and Co, Floewe and Nomalungelo before, and we shall do it again this year . These hsting of local artists is what I mean by ‘helping’, we must give them the platform at such events always,” he added.
