ZUNGU TO HEADLINE TRADE FAIR OPENING

MBABANE – Why not give more time on stage for musical icons who are popular?


South African gospel music guru Thinah Zungu is set to perform on two different ocassions at this year’s Eswatini International Trade Fair (EITF) which is set for September 1 to September 6.


Zungu, who rose to fame through his song ‘Kwanqabu’musa’ song which is also locally celebrated, will be performing during the opening ceremony which will be on September and the following day, during the renowned Gospel Sunday show.


The gospel star’s performance in the country was confirmed by Swaziland Investments Promotion Authority Executive Manager for Trade Promotion Bongani Ntshangase, who also said Nduduzo Matse will also be performing alongside Zungu during the opening ceremony.


“We are still liaising with local music bodies, the Association of Christian Artists in Swaziland (ACASWA) and the Swaziland Arts and Music Association (SWAMA) in securing artists for the Trade Fair.


“It is confirmed that Zungu will be in the country during the stated dates, however, the rest of the line-up for entertainment has not been finalised yet,” said Ntshangase.


The Trade Fair entertainment is segmented into four days; there will be the opening ceremony on September 1. On September 2, there will the Gospel Sunday show which ACASWA will be executing. During Umhlanga Day, it will be a Family Day with fun for the children and on September 6, there will be performances which will be mainly organised by SWAMA.
