ALL SET FOR ELOHEEKA EMPOWERMENT CLUB’S FIRST-OF-ITS-KIND FESTIVAL

NHLANGANO – The King Sobhuza II Memorial Stadium in Nhlangano will come alive next Saturday when Eloheeka Empowerment Club presents a first-of-its-kind festival, with a line-up bursting with big name artists.


Bonginkhosi Dlamini of the club said the event will see various local artists, including Sandziso ‘Sands’ Matsebula, sharing the stage with acts from across the border. Festivities are going to take almost the whole day, with gates being officially opened to revellers as early as 9 am, until late.
Dlamini said the budget for the event stands at E150 000 and that with the proceeds from the concert they were aiming at raising funds to empower the local youth to start their own businesses.


Launch


Speaking shortly after the launch of the event on Tuesday afternoon, Dlamini said the festival is fully supported by the Swaziland National Youth Council, the Nhlangano Town Council, grilled chicken outlet Galito’s, and as well as the Shiselweni Regional Administration among others.


 Tuesday’s launch saw the attendance of Shiselweni Regional Administrator Themba Masuku and SNYC Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Makhosami Dlamini, who both described the initiative as very encouraging for the youth in the southern tip of the kingdom.


During his address to the gathering, the latter also got the opportunity to share the plans of his organisation, which has a massive project for the youth across the four regions of the country in the pipeline.
