MBABANE – Everyone seems keen to be a part of this year’s MTN BUSHFIRE Festival. Just an hour after the physical sale of the festival’s tickets opened, over 70 tickets out of the 250 early bird tickets were sold.

The festival organisers officially announced that the physical sale of the tickets of the festival’s 12th edition would start yesterday. By 10am, music lovers who wanted to be the first to buy the tickets visited some of the MTN Swaziland outlets to purchase them. The ticket sale was officially launched at the Corporate Place MTN Service Centre.  The festival organisers have prepared limited stock of the early bird tickets, only printing 250. Most of those who were buying the tickets were not buying less than two. Others were buying around five tickets as they were buying for friends and relatives.

Making sure that the first customers were served was House on Fire Director and festival founder Jiggs Thorne together with House On Fire’s Communication Officer Noncedo Dlamini  and  MTN Swaziland Senior Manager Brand Communication and Sponsorship Meshack Maseko. The festival organisers encouraged  all those who attended the early ticket sales to alert friends and relatives that tickets were now available.

“The start of the ticket sale has been amazing. Fun lovers have been visiting the outlets to purchase tickets and I must say I am impressed with the figures,” Thorne said. He said this was a sign that this year’s festival would be once again amazing.
“I encourage fun lovers to make sure that they get the tickets on time to avoid disappointments. It is advisable to get the tickets as soon as possible,” he said. Noncedo Dlamini, House on Fire Public Relations Officer said the support was great and they could not wait to unveil more artists who will perform this year. The MTN BUSHFIRE team has always enticed festival goers by never revealing the full line-up all  at once .Instead  they build up the anticipation by revealing a few artist monthly leading up to the events dates of May 26-27.
