MBABANE – Personal presentation  can be ‘everything’ and  international  beauty pageants take it very serious.

Mr Swaziland 2018/2019 contestant Emmanuel Sedum Agbenyegah has raised many eyebrows with his hairstyle which will not qualify for Mr World  if he happens to win  the Mr Swaziland title.

The 18-year-old contestant, who is also  a well known rapper having made it to the ‘King of  Hip Hop Magazines’ South Africa’s  HYPE Magazine, was revealed last Friday among other eight contestants which have joined the pageant being led by Linda Chester.
However, the fact that he been chosen as a contestant among the nine does not mean that he will be a finalist as auditions are still ongoing.

The public though went on a ull social media frenzy wanting to know how he was even allowed to be part of the pageant , especially since 2018 is year where Pageant SD promised that all national pageants would have the King or Queen represent the country internationally.

The contestant’s hair do, which is a fade inspired by dreadlocks, is not a norm in pageants. It is definitely a big no for  the Mr World pageant.
According to international standards issued by Mr World, presentation in contestants is key.

Hair is preferred short and well combed to set the bar for other men in the world. The last Mr Swaziland to partake in the Mr World pageant was Bonelele Makhanya who had a short brush cut.
