MBABANE –  After his failed show, Mdabula has decided to run to his lawyers.

Mbekezeli ‘Mdabula’ Zulu believes the Swaziland National Council of Arts and Culture (SNCAC) acted unfairly and he needs to be compensated.

He has since instructed attorneys from Bongani G. Mdluli and Associates to act on his behalf.
Zulu was set to host a show on Christmas Day themed ‘Redemption Tour’. The show was a makeup show following his failed show hosted on December 31, 2016. This show was supposed to feature artists who include DJ Black Coffee, Cassper Nyovest and Babes Wodumo.

This past Christmas, Mdabula’s show was set to feature the likes of South Africa’s DJ Tira, DJ Merlon and Sjava, but it was stopped by police officers in the last minute. This was after the SNCAC through its CEO Stanley Dlamini wrote a letter to the Manzini City Council and the Royal Swaziland Police asking them to stop the event.

The Entertainment Desk is in possession of a letter by SNCAC signed by CEO Dlamini, asking the Manzini City Council to stop the event. The same letter was copied to the police, and it is this letter that has caused the dispute.

Bongani ‘Bhanyaza’ Mdluli confirmed that he had received instructions from Zulu asking him to act on his behalf.
“At the moment I cannot say as to what will happen as I am yet to get full details from my client after the holidays but I can say that I have instructions to act on the matter,” Mdluli said.
