EZULWINI- With an album that has reached Gold status, it is no wonder Sands has made 2017 his year.

The celebrated musician will be headlining his new ‘Home coming’ show this coming Friday which he plans to turn into an annual event. It is during the launch of this event that Sands real name Sandziso Matsebula revealed that he had just been  alerted by his management that  ‘Tigi’ has been announced as the most played song on South Africa’s Metro FM radio this year. The radio station came out with the results after collecting its 2017 data where the most played hits of the year are revealed .With a listernship of over 1.2million people, Metro FM is one of the largest radio stains in SA.

Believes

Sands said he will be saying a big ‘Thank you’ to his loyal local fans on Friday, as he believes it is their support that has seen him soar higher and higher in his career. The show will see all artists that have had the privilege to collaborate with the ‘Tigi’ hit maker forming part of the line up of the day .The event is set for  December 22 at Emfuleni Lifestyle and ticket sales will be announced later in the week . Speaking during a press conference held at the new hot spot, Sands started off by taking us through what his newly established ‘Kingdom Tales’ entertainment stable is about. “As Kingdom Tales we seek to improve the quality of productions in the country so that we maybe at par with our counterparts and contemporaries the world over,” said Sands.

Fundamental

He further said that many times they have produced talented individuals who lacked fundamental support in terms of stage, sound and general overall production to ensure a world class event which will be the first ever Homecoming show.  Sands also revealed that through the Homecoming show, which is a first event under Kingdom Tales they feel that it’s imperative to provide quality productions which will better position local artists as they venture to market their craft outside the borders. “To that end we want nothing but the best in terms of sound, stage and lighting on the day! We hope you will enjoy the music and together we can strive to move the Swazi Art scene to uncharted heights,” he said. During his speech, Sands ensured all registered SWAMA members free entry on the day and this he said was because he wanted his fellow local artists to grow together and take the entertainment industry to the next level.
For the better part of this year Sands has been performing at various stages throughout the Republic of South Africa, throughout all the provinces.
