WITTY, HUMBLE, AMBITIOUS

She is witty, humble, ambitious, well spoken and the perfect example of beautiful melanin.

Vocalist Lomasoul, real name Lomakhetfo Dlamini, has hit the Swazi music industry with a bang and her talent, together with her flawless beauty and sass, has paved the way for her in a red carpet manner.

Just after coming back from Pietermaritzburg, where she was attending school her whole life, the lass from Manzini has strongly infiltrated the local entertainment industry with so much energy and she has been getting bookings in gigs, in and out of the country.

Vibes

Lomasoul reminds one of Buci from South Africa, the ‘Superman’ hit maker, in the manner that she conducts her music and her business.
Just like Buci, she has a dynamic voice that blends well with party vibes and even chilled vibes. And yes, she is also beautiful in the chocolate skin that she wears.

Her last super amazing performance was at the second edition of Mega Sound Picnic which was at Luphohlo Recreational Centre.
“I have always loved music and I recall this from the time I was a toddler. I saw myself as a singer at a very young age such that I sang along to Beyonce, Cherish and other American artists when I was young,” said Lomasoul.
Lomasoul’s music career took off when she was 16 years old.

Surprised

“Many people can be literally surprised that I started off as a DJ; though I should confess that I was quite an amateur but the lessons I was getting were helping me. This is the time when I acquired just the right ear for the right music and this is when I realised I can do something with my voice,” she explained.
Since the age of 16, the ‘Doubt’ artist has been persevering in making sure her music career keeps on rising. She confesses that it has not been easy as she has been jumping from manager to manager and stable to stable.

Creativity

“In 2012, I was with Creativity Parlour where they tried to offer me gigs and record my music but it did not work out. I have also been with Spirit Motion, the stable that houses Black Motion in South Africa; I thought this was my big break but it unfortunately did not work out. Also, I have been with many other managers who I parted ways with,” she said.
Currently, Lomasoul is running solo and is doing her own thing and promoting her own work.
“I would really love to go back to South Africa and get that big break, and probably work with Black Coffee,” she giggles.

Releasing

Her big moments in her career so far was joining Spirit Motion, performing at the second edition of Elite at Esibayeni Lodge, performing at Eyadini at the Swazi Durban Annual Party and releasing ‘Doubt’ with Mozaik the Producer.
“‘Doubt’ was somehow my break locally; liaising with big names like Mozaik can open many doors. I had an awesome time making the song,” she says.
Currently, Lomasoul is hopeful in dropping a fully fledged album and in future, she wishes to own her own studio, travel the world and collaborate with big names like Black Coffee.

On GBV
“I have never experienced any abuse of any sort but I have seen it happening to people close to me and on TV.
Being violated, as a woman, is never right. It does not matter what ‘sin’ a woman committed but she does not deserve to be punished; especially by another adult.

‘‘What saddens me the most though is men are also violated but they have no one in their corner. These 16 days should also recognise men at all levels. We abuse men, especially emotionally but they do not leave in the name of ‘love’ and this is not appropriate. It is high time that men are recognised also in this time.

‘‘I hear that is never easy to leave an abusive relationship; and these claims might be true. I advise victims of abuse to get professional help and/or talk to someone who can get sense through to them. Abuse comes from anger and it is better to leave before someone is killed and we read about this in the media every day.”
