I AM SORRY FOR ALCOHOL POST - MISS TEEN MANZINI

MBABANE – Social media can make and break you, and Miss Teen Manzini Michaela Peters has learnt that lesson.

After posting a picture of herself next to a open Moet Champagne bottle and full champagne glass, the beauty queen has issued a letter of apology to the public.

Mistake

The 17-year-old teen queen owned up to her mistake and saw it appropriate to contact the Entertainment Desk to issue a statement of apology. She said that she deeply regrets posting the picture as it conveys a wrong message to her peers.
“I do not take any form of alcoholic beverages and I do not promote such behaviour amongteenagers.

Excuse

The glass next to me was for a toast but it does not give me an excuse to get away with it,” read part of Peter’s apology letter. She further said that she apologises to the public and that such will never happen again as she is fully aware that holding a title of being a beauty  queen automatically makes one a role model. “I hope my fellow peers do not take this in a wrong way. I would advise that they stay away from alcohol and focus on their future,” she said.
