SIDVOKODVO – Incomparable. FNB has proved to thousands of Swazi fun lovers that they are in a league of their own. The bank hosted a huge and successful event.

This year’s FNB Smooth Festival attracted over 3 000 fun lovers from all corners of the country and even outside, to enjoy the good time the bank had organised for them.
First to take on the stage was local artist Apple Gule, who is now based in South Africa. He was followed by local songstress Floewe and there was a special shout out to local artists, which took about 15 minutes before the introduction of South Africa’s celebrity, Somizi Mhlongo who was the MC of the night.

Somizi had free drinks as they would be given to him by his fans who had enjoyed seeing him on stage.
He then introduced local artist Nomalungelo on stage, and she got everyone singing along to her songs as she performed.   stage In between changing of sets, DJ Mixmash together with DJ Ntombs made sure the crowd was kept entertained.

The crowd went ballistic when DJ Mixmash played Mgarimbe’s Sister Bettina track. Ths song saw almost everyone running towards the main stage to cheer on the DJ.
Jimmy Dludlu was next, with a full on band. For a while as he was on stage, everyone was calm. It was a bit disturbing as his music demanded for people to be on their feet, it seemed like everyone was waiting for that one person to start off the dancing chain, and sure enough, someone did.

Dludlu seemed to feed off the energy of the handful of people dancing and even came off stage to join the crowd. As he walked around the arena dancing and playing his guitar, the music just seemed to get better and better.
Next to take over the stage was Zonke. Zonke’s name was familiar to most fun lovers, some of who were heard screaming saying they had bought the ticket to attend the festival because they wanted to witness her perform live.
No wonder when she jumped on stage, she got a resounding yes from the audience which cheered her up and boosted her confidence.

Zonke, who showed her dancing skills in some of the songs, performed for close to an hour before she bid farewell, thanking people for embracing the concert. She further revealed that she was banking with FNB.  Closing off the live performances was Amanda Black, who proved her star power to the thousands of fun lovers who had attended the FNB Smooth Festival.

The moment she jumped on stage, the crowd had already started screaming the title of the songs that they expected the Afro Soul singer to perform, of which she gladly did what was expected of her. Most of the people were looking forward to her performance of the ‘Amazulu’ song, which played a huge role into putting her on the spot.

Just after 12 midnight, the talented artist performed the song and almost everyone in the arena went crazy over it.
They cheered and screamed and sang along with the artist. DJ Mixmash and Ntombs closed off this year’s FNB Smooth Festival with a bang as they served the crowd with good old school music.
