MBABANE – “We are still in good terms.” This was revealed by local music producer and artist Mozaik who with his music partner KrTC decided to part ways.
The two were behind the formation of the famous group Siyinqaba which they decided to also dissolve.

None of them wanted to discuss the matter but they both mentioned that despite going their separate ways, they were still in good terms.
They felt the reasons why they decided to part ways were personal and would not be discussed publicly.
Mozaik said what people should know is that he was not KrTC’s enemy.

“We are just concentrating on our individual careers,” he said.
He emphasised that his ‘breakup’ with KrTC did not mean the dismantling of Claiming Grounds Records.
Claiming Grounds Records is a music stable which was founded by Mozaik and he is the core producer. Renowned artists under this stable were KrTC, Nomalungelo Dladla and Mozaik.
“Claiming Grounds is still an entity that records and manages artists and nothing has changed about that,” he said.
Also called was KrTC who asked not to discuss the matter publicly.

Claiming Grounds Records spokesperson Steven Mthethwa said that the insinuations that the Swaziland’s music veterans did not see eye to eye were not true. He said the two had their own individual brands to promote.
“The love of music led them to create Siyinqaba, but that did not mean they had to neglect their own individual music careers. KrTC is a brand of his own while Mozaik is a different brand.
“The two musicians saw it fit that they regroup and concentrate on their different musical journeys,” stated Mthethwa.
KrTC and Mozaik made waves in the local and international entertainment scene, especially after the release of ‘Gwayimane’, a song which features songbird Nomalungelo Dladla.
The crew came together and made powerful music with the support of Mlungisi ‘Mil-G’ Ndwandwe, who is also a music producer and musician. Their songs, with the aid of Mil-G, had a hip hop and afro soul feel in it, and they mainly crafted their lyrics in siSwati.
