MBABANE – The Voice of The Church (VOC) seems to be quick in making sure that it becomes one of those achieving His Majesty King Mswati III’s Vision 2022.

The Manzini Christian radio station will be investing a sum of E500 000 towards purchasing seven transmitters which will allow them to have a second channel.
Currently the radio station is known for broadcasting only in the siSwati language. The siSwati Channel is known as VOC 1.
The station will soon be having two channels with the second one known as VOC 2. This channel will be broadcasting in the English Language.

Launch

The station, headed by Reverend Zachariah Mthethwa, hopes to launch the English channel in November this year.
Each transmitter costs E50 000 and also there are charges of the technicians who will be responsible for fitting the transmitters.
In making sure that the plans go accordingly, the radio station will on Friday night host a fundraising dinner at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre.
The purpose of the fund-raising dinner is to raise funds for the purchasing of the transmitters which will be strategically placed in Swaziland for the second broadcaster.

“Time has come for this Christian radio station to grow to a second channel,”  said the station’s national director.
He said they have invited speakers who include Sipho Mseleku, The Global Business Round Table Convener/ Founder who is expected to speak on a vibrant topic themed ‘Taking Over the Seven Mountains of Societal Influence in Swaziland’.

“Pastor Zanele Mangwe will be sharing the word of God and she will briefly share the word on the meaning of ‘Taking Over,” said Mthethwa.
Pledges
He added, “The offering and pledges will be coordinated by Tibiyo TakaNgwane Managing Director Absalom Themba Dlamini,” he said.
The national director urged churches, companies and the public to support this dream, saying there was a great need for them to switch to the English Channel.
