MBABANE – Spending just a few cents to vote for your favourite Miss Teen contestant would actually be worth it.

Members of the public have met the groundbreaking online voting platform launched by the Miss Teen Swaziland Pageant and SPTC with great enthusiasm.

Process

The organising committee has been inundated with calls from members of the public who wanted to learn more about the voting process.
Voters can log on to the following link voting.sptc.co.sz/voting/, they will have to enter a valid 12 digit Mkhululi card pin in order to cast their votes.
Each vote costs E2 and the number of votes that a voter can cast will only be limited by the value of the Mkhululi cards used by the voter.

Votes

Votes can also be cast from public phones at a cost E2 per vote; the voters will simply insert their E2 coin in the public phone and dial their contestants’ four-digit contestant code.
Telephone voting will also incorporate either Mkhululi Easy Call or Mkhululi Ekhaya prepaid cards, this ensures that people with access to a telephone can vote for the contestants of their choice.
“We are honoured to have been given this opportunity by SPTC to prove to Swazis that the nation has the technology and skills to incorporate elements of First World pageants in the Miss Teen 2017 Pageant.

It is important to note that the results displayed on the SPTC site are strictly based on online voting, the results of telephone voting will be made public once the voting process draws to a close on August 23,” said Nolan Vere, Public Relations Officer for Miss Teen Swaziland 2017/18.
