MBABANE - The fairest teen of them all will have to wait a little longer to slip on her bejeweled crown.

The Miss Teen Swaziland 2017 contestants will now have to wait a week longer to see who takes the crown home.
This comes after the pageant was shifted from September 2  to  September  9.

The postponement is to make way for the SADC Fashion Exhibition which shall be taking place on September 1-2.
Some of the Miss Teen Swaziland 2017 contestants will be participating at this year’s SADC Fashion Exhibition event as well, giving the public a chance to see them before the crowning.

The SADC Fashion Exhibition is an ideal platform for local models; some of whom are participating in the Miss Teen SD 2017 pageant, to display their talent alongside local and international designers.

Given the good working relationship that the  Miss Teen SD 2017 Committee has with the Swaziland National Council of Arts and Culture(SNCAC, they areable to ensure that the two events complement and add value rather than clash.

The Miss Teen SD 2017 live auditions were held at Palaistra Fitness Emporium at the Mavuso Exhibition and Trade Centre in Manzini as well as at Coronation Park in Mbabane from which 24 contestants were selected.
The top 24 contestants went on to participate in a photo-shoot at the Nkonyeni Lodge and Golf Estate on Saturday.
“We have the support of Michelle Molatlou, former  Miss South Africa, who is a former model, television presenter, actress and fashion editor for Drum and True Love magazines.
