MBABANE – It was a night of great beauty, pieces of art with emotional sincerity that showed a graceful expression through spoken imagination and deep feelings that were delivered to the audience in various accords that were a delight throughout the night.

“I am not going to be the kind of MC who bores you with a two-page biography, we are all here to witness poetry and you guys shall enjoy,” said Nqobile. As he took to the stage, one could tell that Sbu J’s poetry is more fact that fiction as he possessed a theatrical prowess of visual lyricism and strong stage presence while he rendered both his poems in siSwati and English.

Zwelonkhe Maseko, who was also part of the line-up for the night, and rendered a poem together with Sbu J, impressed the crowd with his funny poetic lines. His poems touched on issues of love and what one goes through in the journey of being in a relationship and the trials one faces while scouting for a girlfriend. His focus also ranged from township material to suburban content.
The night was a mixture of words and soulful music as Thandwa also got to perform with Sbu J.

Velemseni wowed the crowd as she revealed that the song she was performing, when she started off her performance, was one that she had composed on the day during sound checking.  She performed songs like ‘mama’ and ‘Crazy’ that got the crowd singing along.
