MBABANE – Is South Africa’s leading Mbaqhanga group Soul Brothers better than local gospel group Mduduzi Nezinceku Zamagawugawu on stage?

This will be one question that will be answered on July 1, 2017 and it is on this day when music lovers will know as to who is the best between the two.
This will all happen during a show that is said to be the first of its kind in the country.
The country will for the first time witness what will be known as ‘Gawuzela versus Soul Brothers.’
The show themed ‘Battle of the Giants’ will take place in Big Bend at the Mayaluka Community Hall.

Hosting the show is Mduduzi Gawuzela’ Simelane through his company known as Umlilo Music in collaboration with Soul Brothers Music a record label led by Moses ‘Black Moses’ Ngwenya.
While the two will be battling on stage, there are other artists who have been invited to curtain raise for these giants.
These artists include Frans Dlamini, Shiba and Traveller, Apostle Maculuve, Gcina Masuku, Phuzekhemisi, Sipho Makhabane, Siphumelele Mbambo, Mshikishi Mndzebele and PD and Family Gospel Wagon.
Simelane said he had been attending shows and launches and noticed that most of the time people who attend these shows are those that go to church.

“I then decided to host a show that should accommodate even those who do not go to church. I decided to partner with Soul Brothers after seeing that the group had a lot of fans who attend church.
I also discovered that there were also others who were not attending church yet they are followers of the group. I then felt i should partner with the group and bring the fans together,” he said.
Gawuzela said since it will be a night of preaching especially to those who have never been to church, they have also included pastors who will be preaching on the night.
“We will have Reverend Grace Masilela, Pastor Khulani Mamba and Bafana Mtshali. It will be a night of preaching. I invite all gospel music lovers to come in numbers as this will be a show that will never be forgotten,” he said.
