MDURA FOR GABORONE COMEDY FESTIVAL

MBABANE – His jokes have flexed Swazi followers’ stomach muscles, with uncontrollable laughter and now Mdura is taking over the international scene.


He is scheduled to be one of the headline acts for the Heavyweights International Comedy Festival in Gaborone, Botswana.
The annual festival commences today and will also be taking place tomorrow. It will be staged at Avani Gaborone in Botswana .
This is the fifth edition of the annual show which is dubbed the Hicofest.


The festival will also feature Finland comedian Fredi Lilius and USA comedian rich Lyons who were recently performing for the first time in the country at the first annual Swaziland International Comedy Festival which was a three day affair.


Another act is Clive Chigubhu who also kept guests in stitches during the first session of the SIC Festival.
The Hicofest has been split into two categories which is the Vernac show and the English show.
The former will be staged today.


There will be over 16 comedians from seven different countries.
The Heavyweight International Comedy festival is known to play hosts to leading comedians from all across the globe and has been reviewed as one of the best shows in the African comedy shows calendar.
Mdura confirmed his performance in Botswana in social media posts promoting the much anticipated show.
