MBABANE – What had been a joy ride earlier ended on a sour note for Top Models Swaziland crew.

In unfortunate events, Top Models Swaziland had a series of bad luck on their way to the Tshwane Fashion week auditions that took place two weeks ago.

Director of the agency Mbali Manana narrated how on top of spending E1 000 on speeding fines due to the fact that they were rushing to be on time, they were later robbed.

The group managed to be part of the auditions that were held before the main day of Tshwane Fashion week, where models that would walk down the ramp were chosen. Top Models Swaziland was fortunate enough to make it through these auditions and successfully took part during the event.

On their way back to the kingdom, the group of Models decided to stop for fuel at Caroline filling station where they were robbed E2 700.
“Upon paying the bill, the patrol attendant said that their speed point was not working and that the only option would be that we follow him to the nearest ATM.

‘‘When our driver was withdrawing the money, an unidentified person who was driving a Citi Golf came and quickly cancelled our transaction and fled away with our bank card,” said Manana as she described the unfortunate events.
Manana said that upon realising what had just happened she quickly called the bank help-line to cancel the card but it was too late for them as already a sum of E2 700 was missing in their bank account and when they crossed the border another bank in-contact message  ,reflected that indeed that kind of amount was withdrawn from the account.
