MTN BUSHFIRE 2017: OPEN CALL FOR ARTISTS IN AFRICA

MBABANE - All talented artists in every corner of Africa are invited by Yebo Contemporary Art Gallery and Londza Design to be part of the MTN Bushfire Festival exhibition 2017.


  The  three day festival  is scheduled to take place  at House on Fire grounds from  26 – 28 May 2017.
All professional artists should get ready to bring their fire through their art work as the open call has been finally announced. All applications to be submitted to Yebo Art director Aleta Armstrong ,via her email aleta@realnet.co.sz as the deadline is set for  March 27, 2017. Work can be in any medium, from a  sculpture, photograph or a painting.  Size is a bit restricted, but this can be discussed when application are reviewed.

All the African artists that want to take part are requested to email their concepts with a maximum of  200 words and a few photographs of their work if they have not exhibited with Yebo previously.  Artists are advised that photos must not to be larger than 5 MB.


The artists should also take note that they are responsible for delivering/couriering their work to Yebo by May 13, 2017 and collecting it afterwards. This year’s theme on for Yebo Art and Design revolves around artists exploring the cause and effects of Climate Change.
