MBABANE – The festive season is here and in as much as giving should be all-year-round, it means the most when coupled with festive cheer. This is a season when every face deserves to have a smile.

Miss Swaziland 2016/17 Linda Hutchison, is on the move as she currently is working on her first major project as the country’s beauty ambassador. The aim of the project is to make a difference to someone else’s life and also put a smile on their face, that is why she named the project ‘The Smile Project’.

The current beauty queen is inviting the public, corporate organisations and entrepreneurs to be part of the Smile Project aimed at making every child smile this Christmas.  All they need to do is to donate any old toys which are still in good condition  or brand new toys.  The toys should be suitable for young girls and boys aged between 1-12years old .  Cash donations are also welcome as it will be used to purchase more toys for the less privileged children.

Personal  involvement in  the form of volunteering during the fundraising drive are also welcome. Miss Swaziland Linda Hutchison said giving of one’s time was something not to be taken lightly and it will be greatly noted.

Hutchison explained that when a child smiles, it’s from the warmth of their heart and she would love to witness such  this Christmas. Her current project will definitely be ongoing as she plans to donate toys as Christmas gifts to children at the Good Shepherd Hospital.

“I am hoping that I will get a positive response from the public as my wish is to not only distribute the toys at Good Shepherd Hospital only but to other hospitals around the country,” said Hutchison.
