MBABANE – South Africa’s award-winning artist Cassper Nyovest is set to be the main act at the Umdabula Festival Crossover 2016.

The crossover event which was confirmed by Umdabula Festival founder Mbekezeli Zulu will be taking place at Lavumisa on December 31.
Cassper Nyovest is  the first big artist that has been confirmed for the Umdabula Crossover, and contracts were signed on Friday. The Entertainment Desk has a copy of the  contract between Nyovest’s
management company known as Bridge Entertainment and Umdabula Entertainment, represented by Mbekezeli ‘Mdabula’ Zulu.

Joining the ‘Phumakimi’ fame artist during the 2016/2017 crossover show will be Big Nuz, DJ Bongz, Fistaz Mixwell and Babes Wodumo.
Nyovest is expected to perform for a full hour, as stated in his contract. Zulu confirmed that the artist has been booked for the show, saying it would be one of the biggest shows in the country.

“Cassper Nyovest will be performing live at Lavumisa. I can assure music lovers that it will be one of  the best shows. We have already signed the contract and all is set for his performance on December 31,” he said.
Zulu said he wants to make sure that the show becomes the best in the country, saying he wants the rural town to look different on this day.

“I felt I should secure all the artists early so I can allow musicians to start planning. This year, everyone should be in Lavumisa as that is where the fun will be.
‘‘Preparations have already started, as well, within the community as I want to make sure small business owners like vendors get a chance to also benefit. So it will be a fun night with benefits for my community as well, we tend to live in cities and forget where we were born and bred.

Neglect

‘‘I need the youth to learn from the Umdabula Festival, and not neglect the rural areas they call home,” added Zulu.
He said tickets to the show will be divided into three sections as there will be the general tickets, VIP tickets and the exclusive golden circle tickets.
All these tickets are set to be released early so as to give fun lovers time to budget in these tough economic times.

Zulu said he was open to any business partners who want to come on board as he wants Swaziland, especially Lavumisa, to come alive on this day.
“Companies that want to be partners should come through. We are willing to work with anyone who believes in the concept and has any fresh ideas to add in making the event a memorable one,” said Zulu.
