MBABANE – The T55 SWAMA National Talent Search auditions continued on Saturday at the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, where 46 contestants came to showcase their talents in a race for the E55 000, a car and record deal first prize.

With Manzini being one of the towns that proved to have the best talent in the competition, the capital city did not disappoint as 24 out of the 46 contestants went home with smiles, after getting a chance of being part of the top 50 contestants who will then battle to be in the top 20 shortlist.

The auditions were attended by Deputy Speaker and Mbabane East Member of Parliament Esther Dlamini, SWAMA President Lutfo Dlamini, Pelepele Dance Group Director Larry Mhlanga and Limkokwing University of Creative Technology LEAP Manager Nkhosilenhle ‘Makawosi’ Masuku.

As these auditions also give members of the public an opportunity to witness the best of local talent, the university’s Multi Purpose Hall was full to the brim, as more than 200 people came to grace the auditions.

As always, some of the contestants proved to have well prepared themselves for the auditions, as they rendered thrilling performances which left the judges stunned as they gave them a go ahead, while others were the jokes of the day on the stage as they crashed out of the competition.
