ACASWA MADE ONLY E73 422 PROFIT FROM GOSPEL AWARDS

MANZINI – Having made   E682 000 through the Swaziland Gospel Music Awards, ACASWA only profited a small sum.
The financial report was finally delivered  at the organisation’s annual general meeting, held on Saturday morning .


 It was reported that through the awards, ACASWA made E444 182. Out of this amount, the association spent E313 650 on preparations of the awards.
This is contained in the brief financial report that was handed over to the artists.
Apart from the money made through the awards, ACASWA also received a further E42 000 from the Swaziland National Council of Arts and Culture (SNCAC).


The association was also able to raise E82 000 through their programme ‘Emahubo Endvumiso’, which airs on Swazi TV.
In total, ACASWA managed to raise a sum of E682 000.
Despite raising so much money, ACASWA incurred expenses that amounted to E554 360.


ACASWA ended up with a profit of E73 422.
The amount left in ACASWA’s account, however, seemed to impress them as the artists accepted the financial report that was delivered by Gcina Zwane, the current treasurer.
