MANZINI – The assumption that Swazis do not support each other proved  to be wrong Friday night, as Swaziboy packed fun lovers during the SwaziBoy Rockas Reunion party.

The successful event took place at The Gallery, a venue owned by the stable and situated at the Mavuso Trade Centre.
The party was aimed at bringing together the spinners who were under the stable so as to reflect back and also share ideas about the future. These included Wicked, Crooks, Papz, Tempt, MBO, Phatso and Rekorder. Mistosoul, Paris and Cece who are presently signed by the stable also got a chance to participate and in the process taking a few tips from the old horses.

Paramountly, it was a good omen to see Swazis coming in numbers for a show completely comprising of locals. Particularly, the attendance by other spinners from other stables is also commendable. These included DJ Lolo and  Tibza among others.
The show started at 8pm and it looked lively from the onset as by 10pm it was almost packed, which is an unlikely situation as patrons often arrive around midnight in local clubs.

Upon arrival the first 50 patrons were welcomed with a cupcake, which had the Swaziboy emblem featuring the reunited spinners.
First to perform was DJ Paris and Mistosoul and the duo showed glimpses of why they are part of the Swaziboy family as they gave a five-star performance.

As for the main acts (the reunited spinners) DJ Papz was the first and he took back the attendees to his old hip hop selections which he relevantly fused with modern commercial tracks. With hip hop you never go wrong and as a result the audience responded well and the party started rolling.
A plus factor also was the plan to have spinners who represented the different music genres as DJ Wicked was there to play electro beats  combined with commercial, DJ Crooks for deep house and DJ MBO for deep commercial sets.

In a nutshell, it remains to be seen as to what the stable (SwaziBoy) has in store for the festive season after such a good foundation.
SwaziBoy is one of the oldest entertainment stables in the country and its claim to fame was the hosting of popular Crossover parties that were held at Cafe Mogambo where they featured international artists like Christos, Tira, Fresh and many more.
