MBABANE – With the evolving banking sector, FNB Eswatini is set to introduce big changes in its customer experience.

In the in-house interview published on the bank’s social media platform, FNB Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dennis Mbingo unpacked these changes that the bank would introduce soon.
The CEO stated that the bank would soon give customers the ability to open bank accounts remotely and without queueing in the bank’s different branches. “We don’t think you should be going to the branch to open accounts,” he said. Mbingo revealed that in the next 60 days, they would be going out to the market to drive this remote account opening.

Ability

He also mentioned that the bank would also be giving customers the ability to apply for and receive personal loans without going to the branches. He highlighted that in most cases, the concern here was around the signing of contracts. He said, fortunately, there were now laws and technology allowing the signing to be done remotely. He further revealed that the bank would also be introducing coin depositors at all branches to eliminate queues. He said there were plans to follow this up with bulk note depositors. “We have already purchased coin counters that would be available in all the branches. The CEO also revealed that there were imminent plans to launch an evolved private banking offering that would cover more services, including support for drafting Wills and provisions of advisory services.
