ULTRA CIVILS AWARDED OVER E1.6M EIPA CONTRACT

MBABANE - A total of 10 companies wanted EIPA’s over E1.6 million contract which was yesterday awarded to Ultra Civils (Pty) Ltd.

Ultra Civils (Pty) Ltd has been enlisted as the best evaluated tenderer to be awarded the Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA) tender. The information on which companies bid for the tender was revealed by the Eswatini Public Procurement Regulatory Agency (ESPPRA) on their website. The intention to award the company was published yesterday and if not contested, they are expected to begin executing it after a period of 10 working days. According to the procurement regulator, EIPA was looking for a contractor for the construction of (two) two bedroom factory flatlets.

MBABANE - The proposed contract price by Ultra Civils was E1 617 084.90, which was higher than that of three other companies listed.

Worth noting, construction companies like Roots Civils, Steffanuti Stocks and AM construction have dominated the list of awarded contracts which were afore awarded to foreign companies. Ultra Civils (Pty) Ltd was competing with nine other companies for the tender. The total evaluation score for other companies was revealed in the tender document and it was also indicated that PSSN Investments was disqualified for invalid submission. EIPA was the procuring entity for the tender which was approved by the authority of the board.

ESPPRA requested the unsuccessful bidders to submit an application for review with the agency within 10 working days. “All tenderers who submitted bids are hereby notified that a period of 10 working days is hereby allowed for submission of any application for review,” said ESPPRA.
