MBABANE – Existing and aspiring businesspeople would be excited to learn of new business prospects that will assist them either establish or diversify their business portfolios, as Eswatini’s newest mobile money operator (MMO), INSTACASH has unveiled countrywide agency opportunities.

In an interview, INSTACASH Commercial Manager Bongani Dube revealed that opportunities to be onboarded as INSTACASH agents exist for various sites and areas around the country.

Register

He urged aspiring businesspeople to make haste and register as vending agents for the country’s third MMO and take advantage of the promotional period ending December 2022.
“We are currently in a recruitment drive for street and shop-agents/vendors who would like to earn a commission from selling INSTACASH. “From these agents, our customers will be able to deposit money into their mobile wallets or to withdraw cash; and these activities earn them (agents) a commission. They also earn a commission from customer registration,” said Dube. Dube said INSTACASH was inviting both existing and aspiring business people who wish to register as INSTACASH agents/vendors to visit INSTACASH’s Mbabane Service Centre, found at the Swazi Plaza along Sheet Street and opposite the Edgars Building.

Opened

The inaugural service centre was opened on May 6, 2022, at a media event that was graced by the organisation’s board chairman, Mbuso Simelane and the Managing Director Mandla Nxumalo. Alternatively, said Dube, prospective agents who stay far from Mbabane can call 24047251 to set up appointments. “Notably, and in line with our agent to customer ratio, the number of agents to be recruited is limited; hence applying early for these INSTACASH vending agent permits may work to the early birds’ advantage,” he advised. Ever since the service centre was opened, INSTACASH has been registering an increase in agent applications; and has already conducted three agent trainings that were attending by over 45 new agents. More trainings are scheduled for the months of August, September, October, November, and December, said Dube.

Advantage

He urged women and the youth to take full advantage of these opportunities, stating that such was in line with both employment creation and poverty reduction. Dube stated that INSTACASH had three types of agency opportunities; street agents (for street vendors, bus rank and marketplace vendors); mini-agents (for spaza shops, shops, supermarkets, hard wares and all other sheltered vendors); as well as super-agents (distributors). He stated that the current recruitment drive was specifically for street and mini agents. Requirements for registering as a street vendor, he said, were a valid trading licence for 2022 as well as a copy of the aspiring vendor’s ID.
