OVER E2.5M FOR FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM

MBABANE – SHERQ Professional Solutions – Fire Safety has provisionally won the race for an over E2.5 million tender issued by the Eswatini Electricity Company (EEC).

The tender is for the supply and installation of a fire suppression system at the EEC substations and sites.  SHERQ scored an unmatched 90.4 per cent to make the cut with a proposed contract price of E2 580 559.75.  At least three other Eswatini companies and one from South Africa had also shown interest in the same tender. The South African company was identified as Mosadi-Ema Trading and Projects.

This is as per an intention to award notice which was posted on the Eswatini Public Procurement Regulatory Agency (ESPPRA) website. The information was posted as per Section 45 (3) (b) of the Public Procurement Act No.7 of 2011. “Following a competitive bidding process, notice is hereby given that a contract award decision has been reached by the approvals authority.
“The contract award decision does not constitute a contract. All tenderers who submitted bids are hereby notified that a period of 10 working days is hereby allowed for submission of any application for reviews,” reads the posted information in part.
