MBABANE – Businesses are provided with an opportunity to continue trading during the lockdown, courtesy of KILOBU Eswatini.

The country has enforced a 20-day partial lockdown to curtail the spread of coronavirus since last Friday.  As a result, most businesses suspended their services.  KILOBU Eswatini Managing Director Jabu Tembe said they were providing a solotion to busineses as at this stage, no one was sure of the length or depth of impact and the time it would take for the crisis to pass.

“KILOBUESWATINI.COM is the first fully functional E-commerce platform which is here to help you overcome the limitations imposed by the COVID-19  shutdown on your business.
“We cannot underestimate the implications of the shutdown on businesses since most cannot trade and this will have adverse effects on profitability and hence the survival of the business,” she said. As an E-commerce platform, Kilobu offers businesses the unique opportunity to load their products online and remain open for business 24-seven.

Secure

“This means that customers will be able to access the products online and make payments using our secure payment platform. “We are working with On Track Eswatini (OTE) as the local delivery partner who will deliver the goods to the customers at a fee,” she said. Tembe said the platform was a two-end application which enables small, micro and medium enterprises as well as corporations to operate their businesses with smart assistance with access to local, national and global markets. “ We equip them with tools required to run their businesses efficiently, that is, process invoices, process orders, receive low inventory alerts, capture cash and card payments using our new generation POS accessible via a tablet or smart phone.
“Kilobu has a vast array of products offering which includes our online billboard listing, online side billboard listing, Crowd-Funding, Scan Buy, Live invoices, the revolutionary Virtual Point Of Sale, e-Ticketing and Vendor registrations,” she disclosed.

The Kilobu services are available on the website and on the Kilobu App which is downloadable from Google Play and from App Store. “As our contribution towards the fight against the pandemic, we at Kilobueswatini are offering a COVID-19 Vendor plan where businesses can load up to 100 products for free on our platform and start selling immediately. This offer is only valid until May 2020,” she said. Meanwhile, the KILOBUESWATINI.COM platform launch was scheduled to be held  on March 23, 2020 at the Hilton Garden Inn, but had to be postponed due to coronavirus regulations. The guest speaker was expected to be the  minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade.
