EEC TO GRANT TENDERS VALUED AT E7.7M

MBABANE – The Eswatini Electricity Company (EEC) stands to award three contracts valued at E7.7 million.


The tenders that stand to be granted are; supply of desktops, supply of ellipse system server hardware and supply of prepaid system server hardware.
In the tender results issued by Eswatini Public Procurement Regulatory Agency (ESPPRA), it was disclos

ed that the best evaluated tenderer for the supply of ellipse system server hardware was PC Systems. The tender was valued at E3.9 million.
It was reported that the company was competing against Slomoes Corporation and SGL Technologies.
PC Systems was also named the most competitive in the tender for prepaid system server hardware. For this job, they stand to pocket E3.5 million.
In the tender for supply of desktop computers, Real Image was named as the best evaluated tenderer. The job was valued at E170 853.15.


 Other tenderers were; Slomoes Corporation, Swaziland Computer Services, Netcomm, PC Systems and Computronics Systems (Pty) Ltd.   
It should be mentioned that for all three tenders, ESPPRA said in accordance with the Public Procurement Act of 2011, a period of 10 working days would be allowed for the submission of any application for review by the tenderers.


“The contract award decision does not constitute a contract,” warned ESPPRA.
EEC is a State-owned entity within the portfolio of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Energy, and as such is governed by the Public Enterprise Unit. EEC generates imports, transmits and distributes electricity as mandated by the establishing legislation in the Kingdom of Eswatini and has been in operation since 1963.
