MBABANE – Buzzby Services held an auction last Saturday for office equipment and industrial ware.

The things sold at the auction covered a wide range of items including, but not limited to, heat exchangers, industrial extractor fans, packaging machinery, and compressors. These things were sourced from the esteemed multi-national company, CONCO Limited.

The vehicles auctioned included a Mahindra Scorpio Pik Up which had E45 000 as a final bid, a Toyota Avanza, which had a reserve price of E60 000, had a final bid of E41 000. A grey Hyundai was unsold after it had a E150 000 reserve price. Most of the cars were subject to confirmation as they were mostly below their reserve prices.

The tech products were most sought by the attendees. Lenovo ThinkPads were sold at an average of E1 500, while Samsung Galaxy tabs went for as much as E2 500.

Hard drives were auctioned in stacks, computer sets were quickly bought mostly under E1 000.
Other items offered were printers, copiers and fax machines, portable projectors, electronic accessories like chargers and a box of computer mice, access points, among others.

A selection of items from the industrial equipment were highly contested by the public.
The compressor was the favourite starting bids at E10 000 hitting a final price of E32 500.
Other items up for contention were the extractor fans, generators and heat exchanges.
The items were in working condition, still warranting more use and the scrap value of most items weighty.
Walter Bennett was the auction master of the day and gave word that the auction sale went well. “Although items like the cars are still subject to confirmation as they are below expectation, most of the other items were bought.”
