CBE TACKLES FINANCIAL TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION DEBATE

 MBABANE - As technology changes how financial products and services are delivered to the people world over, new ways of making payments, such as e-Wallet, Mobile Money and other cryptocurrencies, have great potential to unleash a new era of competition, innovation, regulation and job creation.

Various stakeholders have questioned the role of legislation, regulators and all other structures that may be perceived to be standing in the way of innovation.
It is against the backdrop of disruptive financial technologies that the Central Bank of Eswatini, in collaboration with the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA), Eswatini Communication Commission (ESCCOM) and the Centre for Financial Inclusion (CFI) will be hosting a Conference on Financial Innovation.
