MBABANE - Seven government parastatals have signed an agreement which will lead to accelerated business growth.

Yesterday, the seven parastatals signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that will see them put a collaborative effort in growing businesses in the country at Sibane Hotel.

The parastatals are National Industrial Development Corporation of Swaziland (NIDCS),  Eswatini Standards Authority (SWASA), Centre for Financial Inclusion (CFI), Royal Swaziland Technology Park ( RSTP), National Agricultural Marketing Board (NAMBoard) and Small Enterprises Development Company Limited (SEDCO) and  the Swaziland Water and Agricultural Development Enterprise.

NIDCS Chief Executive Officer Muzi Dube, explained that it had taken the organisations a long time coming up with the MoU. He said the MoU would allow businesspeople to get all the help they need in developing their businesses, until they are ready to work outside the country.

He said the different parastatals would be at hand to offer their expertise to the different businesspeople when the need arises.
One of the participants in the event explained that if a businessperson visits one of the parastatals for any service, and they require the services of another organisation, the relevant government company would step in to assist them.
