MBABANE – Puma Energy Swaziland encountered a shortage of supply of Unleaded Petrol (ULP) over the past week.

The shortage which emanated from a delayed vessel carrying fuel into Mozambique, Matola, where the local supply gets transported from prompted a rationing of supply in the country’s 24 Puma outlets.

This was confirmed by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Phumlile Dlamini who confided to the Business Desk that they suffered sleepless nights as a result of the shortage of ULP which dried up in some of their outlets. She said the shortage was due to unforeseen circumstances and they were glad that their customers had been able to bear with them.

“We regret the inconvenience caused. The situation has been resolved and all stations have now been fuelled up,” said Dlamini.
Dlamini assured all their customers that they would continue to explore various avenues to ensure that a similar situation does not repeat itself in future.
One of the dealers at the Puma Filling Station who preferred anonymity confirmed that the situation had been sorted out.

He mentioned that they had been greatly inconvenienced through losing out on revenue but was glad that the situation was managed within a short space of time.
“We lost out a great deal but Puma management should be applauded for keeping the situation under control,” he said.
The businessman called upon Puma management to ensure that a similar occurrence does not repeat itself especially during the festive season which normally becomes peak time for their filling stations.

In its official website it was mentioned that Puma is a global energy business with integrated midstream and downstream operations in 49 countries across five continents and is an integrated global energy company.
