MBABANE – New management has taken over Esangweni Restaurant and Pub on a four-year contract lease.

This was confirmed by Zweli Hlophe who will be manning the premises after it was closed down over a year ago.
Hlophe disclosed that they were currently in the process of revamping the spacious outlet to boost its outlook before it opens doors to customers in September. He mentioned that the intention was to improve the eatery located at Pine Valley in order to improve convenience and ambience to customers who may require their services.

Hlophe explained that their target market would be corporates who may be interested in either utilising the venue for individual purposes or hosting corporate events.

The property, which sits on approximately one hectare, has ample space for hosting outdoor events.
“We will also be hosting entertainment festivities whose logistics will be made public in due course,” explained Hlophe.

Asked how much costs had been involved in the transaction which has seen Esangweni being manned by new management, Hlophe preferred to play his cards close to his chest, save to say the transaction would help bring value to clients who may be interested in utilising their services.

It should be mentioned that the Mbabane- Manzini corridor continues to be a preferred investment destination when taking into account the new buildings valued at nearly E5 billion currently under construction.

These buildings, which are being built mainly by public enterprises, are set to shape the outlook of the country’s capital city and the hub of Eswatini while also improving job creation as nearly 2 000 people have been hired by contractors combined.
The priciest of the structures is the International Convention Centre and Five Star Hotel being constructed by the Kukhanya, Inyatsi and Stefanutti Stocks (Kiss) Joint Venture valued at about E2 billion.

On the opposite direction of the state of the art hotel and convention centre, is the almost complete Swaziland Revenue Authority (SRA) headquarters which was projected to cost E400 million.
The principal contractor is Stefanutti Stocks and the Project Managers are APM Consulting while MA Consulting Engineers takes care of the engineering aspect.
