MBABANE – Montigny Investments  one of the largest privately owned timber companies in Southern Africa, now officially own 85 per cent shares of South Africa’s door and shelves manufacturer TDM, will provide 200 jobs.

Executive Director Andrew le Roux explained that following receipt of approval to acquire shares at TDM from the Competition Commission they were currently in the process of renovating and installing machinery at the Nhlangano Plant.
He said they were working around the clock to ensure preparedness for commencement of operations at their Nhlangano Plant in March 1, 2018.

He said they would start with operations at Nhlangano and then proceed to the Bhunya Plant where they have planned to start May 1, 2018.
“At the moment, we are renovating and installing equipment. We are planning to start operations in March 1, 2018,” said le Roux when providing an update of what would become of their new operation this year.

He said soon after completion of the ongoing installations, they would invite applications from general labourers, machinists and artisans.

Construction Industry Council (CIC) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Nhlanhla Dlamini explained that carpenters and artisans who may be interested in taking up the job opportunities should apply without any worries as there would be no legal requirement to be registered with CIC. He clarified that in this case, it would be the employer that would be required to have been registered with CIC.
