Manzini - Property development punters showed less interest in the opportunity to expand their business portfolio through purchasing three warehouses with offices.

The property, which sits on a plot measuring 3 369 square metres at the at the Matsapha Industrial Site opposite Matsapha Central Garage next to SwaziBank depot, only attracted three bidders at the public auction by Rexy’s Investments at the Manzini Regional Administration offices on Friday.

Out of the three bidders who came through at the auction, only one businessman made an offer, of E6.1 million to purchase the strategically positioned business whose reserve price had been fixed at E6 650 000.

Rexy’s Auctioneer Melusi Qwabe said the offer to buy the business which has full electricity and water access, together with tarred road access and suitable for a wide opportunity of business ventures that need a spacious warehouse and offices would be subject to confirmation.

He said it was yet to be decided by the owner of the warehouses whether the businessman who could only be identified as Dlamini, would be allowed to own the property with his offer since the valuation was of a higher price but they had opted to make the price lesser in order to enable interested businesses to grab the opportunity at ease.
Bidders who participated at the auction were made to pay a refundable registration fee of E5 000.
