MBABANE – Swazi MTN will roll out its fixed wireless, commonly known as ‘landline’, for its valued customers tomorrow.

This was confirmed by Corporate Affairs Manager Mandla Luphondvo yesterday. He said the product would comprise of fixed data and voice packages.
He said the voice package would be able to do on-net, off-net and international calls. The data solution can connect up to 32 devices simultaneously. He explained that this could be other phones, laptops, Smart TV’s, IP security, cameras and many more.

“This effectively means that you can transform your whole home into a smart home and allow your children to do more research on the internet through other devices or the TV. Customers can now view their Netflix, Youtube and other interesting channels at cheaper pricing and lightning speed internet,” Luphondvo explained.
At the unveiling of the product for the first time to the public at Summerfield Botanical Gardens last month, Head of Business Enterprise Thandazile Dlamini said the fixed wireless solution was anticipated to bring value in business and at home to ensure that the whole family has access to data (which is gradually becoming a basic need).

Dlamini explained that the fixed wireless solution provides broadband internet access to a particular location through our LTE network, eliminating the need for phone or cable lines.
“The cost is usually lower than your mobile broadband solution.  It’s a big step up, and a great choice for business. I will encourage our customers to be on the lookout for an invite to the launch,” said Thandazile.
It should be mentioned that Swazi MTN has a technology neutral licence that allows it to provide fixed wireless.

It was explained that in line with Swazi MTN’s 20th Anniversary Celebrations, the fixed wireless forms part of the multiple surprises for subscribers who are with the network.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ambrose Dlamini recently mentioned that providing exceptional customer experience continued to be one of Swazi MTN’s top priorities as they moved into 2018.
Dlamini stated that early this year, Swazi MTN rolled out compulsory training for all staff, on customer experience.
During this training, Dlamini indicated that all staff, regardless of where they were placed, would have to go through this basic course in customer experience, which would become a licence of sorts to work in the company.
