Zone 14 star to shoot movie in the country

MBABANE – Zone 14 actor Ntokozo Msibi will be shooting a movie in the country.
The actor who plays the character of ‘Vuvu’ was in the country over the weekend for the movie’s scene identification.
The movie, to be titled ‘Mara Why’, is about the scourge of the HIV/AIDS pandemic which is prevalent in the Sub-Saharan region.
"The ‘Mara Why’ project has been inspired by our need to contribute in the fight against this pandemic and we have chosen the film to send the message across to the youth who are most into entertainment. We will then later venture into music as well to ensure that the message gets across," said the Project Director and Promoter Doctor Mwale.
"We will be rolling a number of episodes in the country and soon we will be calling for auditions for local actors, which will then be shortlisted and trained in acting," he went on to say.
He said they had chosen Swaziland because it is one of the countries affected by the pandemic. "We also want the Swazi people to be associated with this project which will feature Msibi and other popular artists to be disclosed at a later stage. We will be scouting for local talent to contribute as well," he said.

Mwale said they had done some scene identification and that the script for the movie has been compiled. "The project is fully sponsored but unfortunately I cannot disclose this information due to a confidentiality clause. However, we would like to urge Swazi stakeholders who may want to invest in the project to come on board," he added.
Some scenes to be filmed locally will be in taverns, a church and schools. "We were at a vigil last night to get a feel of the churches in the country and we will be visiting more places as well," said the lively Msibi.
Before the end of this year the project should be completed.
