MAMBA – Kwaito artist Zakhele ‘Mageez’ Vilane’s songs from his upcoming album were sampled for the first time on SBIS 2 on Saturday.

This was during a weekly show dubbed ‘Swazi Rhythm’ hosted by radio host Lindelwa ‘Lindz’ Mafa on the English Channel.

The artist was being interviewed during the show which was a repeat of the original that played on Tuesday.

The one-hour programme started at 9am on Saturday with the host blasting her favourite choice of songs from the artist’s promotional release.

Shisa Nyama’ was one of the tracks that played a major role in warming up the somehow sloppy Saturday morning and instantly turned it into a vibrant and promising day.

‘Lindz’ and ‘Mageez’ on the other hand kept listeners entertained with their interval interviews in-between the show.

Kuze Kuse’ got the host exclaiming that she was mesmerised by most of the songs.

During the interview, ‘Lindz ‘asked the artist when his fans should expect the album and he confidently said it would be out before month end, which is two weeks from now.

Lengoma’ was a show stopper and revealed the artist’s hoarse voice as he rhymed its kwaito verses that got household chores paused and listeners dancing as a substitute. Meanwhile, the album will be his debut and was produced by Qiniso ‘Slim Q’ Dlamini.

It boasts 15 tracks mixed and mastered by Troye, one of the best sound engineers in South Africa, under Rocket Road Studios in Cape Town.
