MBABANE – As the first round ‘carrot’ race heats up, exciting fixtures await this weekend.

Manzini Sea Birds will begin this weekend’s fixtures on Friday when they host Ubombo Sugar at Nsukuwansuku Stadium in Mhlume.

Their kick-off is set for 3pm. ‘Izinyoni Zolwandle’ are eager to secure maximum points following their 1-0 deficit to Nsingizini Hotspurs last weekend, courtesy of Neliswa ‘Tiger’ Dlamini’s lone strike.

Meanwhile, a tough test awaits log leaders ‘Insingizi Yezulu’ when they visit Royal Leopard at Mkhuzweni Technical Centre, starting from 3pm on Saturday.

‘Ingwemabalala’ seem to have ended their winless run after hammering Ubombo 5-1 last Saturday. In a simultaneous fixture, Ezulwini United face Rangers at King Sobhuza II Memorial Stadium in Nhlangano.

‘The Stingers’ remain the only undefeated side after eight games this season.

Alternatively, Green Mamba host struggling Manzini Wanderers at KaLanga Technical Centre from 3pm. Furthermore, Tabankulu Celtics host Amawele at Tambankulu Stadium at 3pm.

An action-packed ‘Yéllo’ Sunday will complete this week’s clashes when all roads lead to Mavuso Sports Centre for a double-header.

Young Buffaloes will be up against Mbabane Highlanders at 1:30pm.

This will be prior to the match between Moneni Pirates and Mbabane Swallows slated for 3:45pm. Nevertheless, ‘Bafana Bemboyi’, as Malanti Chiefs are affectionately known, meet Sisonkhe starting at 3pm.

At least seven games are left before E120 000 first round ‘carrot’ winners are announced.
