As thousands of festivalgoers from around the world descended on House on Fire for the MTN Bushfire 2026, one of South Africa’s most respected automotive brands was right at the heart of the action. Isuzu Motors South Africa proudly took on the role of Official Vehicle Partner, bringing a powerful display of innovation, capability and customer-focused motoring to one of Africa’s biggest cultural festivals.

Showcasing the latest Isuzu line-up

From rugged workhorses to family-friendly SUVs, the showcase highlighted Isuzu’s commitment to delivering vehicles that are built for both adventure and everyday life.

Leading the display was the recently refreshed Isuzu V-Cross, the brand’s flagship bakkie that combines bold styling, premium comfort and proven durability. Sharing the spotlight was the updated Isuzu MU-X XT, which has received a host of enhancements, including new safety technologies, additional features and refinements to its powertrain offering, making it an even more compelling choice in the SUV segment. Festivalgoers were also introduced to the Isuzu X-Rider fitted with the brand’s sought-after 3.0-litre engine. The introduction of the larger powerplant marks a significant development for Isuzu customers who have long associated certain models with the smaller 1.9-litre engine option.

Responding to customer demand

Speaking during the event, Isuzu Motors South Africa’s Gulani Zitha said the company was excited to partner with MTN Bushfire and bring its latest range directly to consumers.

“We are the official vehicle partner for MTN Bushfire 2026 and we brought our latest line-up, including the V-Cross, MU-X XT and X-Rider. The X-Raider previously came only with a 1.9-litre engine, but now customers can also get it with a 3.0-litre engine, which is something many have been asking for,” said Zitha.

The addition of the 3.0-litre engine option reflects Isuzu’s commitment to listening to customer feedback and continuously improving its product offering. The more powerful engine delivers increased performance and towing capability while maintaining the reliability that the Isuzu name has become known for.

Off-road capability on display

Adding further excitement to the display was the presence of the AT35, one of the most capable of-road vehicles in Isuzu’s stable.

Bringing the Isuzu Experience to Festivalgoers

What set the Isuzu experience apart was the level of interaction available to visitors. Rather than simply viewing the vehicles from a distance, attendees were encouraged to explore every aspect of the range.

Mbabane Motors in full support

Backing the showcase was Mbabane Motors, Isuzu’s sole dealership representative in Eswatini. The team, led by Dealer Principal Majid Daude, played an important role in supporting the manufacturer’s presence at the festival. Daude confirmed that local customers will not have to wait long to experience the new range for themselves.  “The new range will be available very soon in our local showrooms,” he said.
