MBABANE – Ahead of the club supporters’ crisis meeting today at the Manzini Library, Manzini Wanderers elders have ordered the club’s Managing Director Mduduzi ‘Tsotsi’ Mabila and his Management Committee (MC) to return to work with immediate effect.

Mabila and the MC had decided to quit the team after telling players they could not continue being in charge following a petition by supporters to have them suspended for the maroon and white side’s poor performance.

“After a series of meetings, the elders gave a directive to Mabila and us as an MC to return to work and move the team forward. The elders have been trying hard to get Mabila to return and when he obliged, the MC also did so,” confirmed the club’s PRO Mduduzi ‘Mr G’Ginindza.
Ginindza said they were not back because of the elders asking them to stay on but for the love of the club.

“Mabila was told he was the director here together with Lawrence ‘Lolo’ Mthethwa and they expected him to keep working as usual while the MC also does its work. As I speak I’m headed to training as everything is back to normal now,” he said.
He further said they would be ready to honour their game tomorrow against Manzini Sea Birds as the troubles they had were history now. Asked on today’s supporters’ meeting which aims at pushing them out, he asked not to commit himself.

When Mabila was called on the latest development, he asked not to comment, instead referred questions to the PRO or Mthethwa.
“The team is ready for Sunday (tomorrow) and we are sorting out whatever problem that may have been there. Tomorrow (today) there is a supporters’ meeting which will be chaired by the elders and we hope that everything will be resolved. But the important thing is that we are playing this weekend and we want all our supporters to rally behind the team,” Mthethwa said.

Meanwhile, the coach Gcina ‘Magiyane’ Dlamini said despite not training for the week, he was confident they will stand their ground against Sea Birds.
“Some of the players were training in physio so mine is to use today (yesterday) and tomorrow (today) to improvise otherwise we can’t be ruled be ruled out,” he said.

Wanderers only trained yesterday following the quitting of Mabila and the MC early in the week, leading to the players opting they could not train when their leaders had stepped down.
