LOBAMBA – Mbabane Swallows’ striker Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa has certainly hit the nail on the head when he acknowledged the club’s poor start to the season was mainly due to the forwards’ failure to convert the easiest of chances.

His coach Aaron ‘Katalala’ Mavimbela has also reiterated this in his post-match comments on Wednesday night after his side was forced to sweat for their first win of the season in five games over Manzini Sea Birds. Swallows scored late in the game to win 1-0.
“We need to work on our finishing which I feel is letting us down. In front of goal we lack composure otherwise we got so many chances here and should have long buried the match,” he said.

He said if they could fix this problem upfront, then they would be fine as defensively and in midfield he felt they were good.
“But then again one has to acknowledge the fact that the players are also feeling the pressure and the Sea Birds game was never going to be easy given our position in the log which is very unfamiliar. This is just another factor that is now working against us hence this win should boost us,” he said.
Otherwise, he said they would keep working hard as everyone was fighting the dreaded relegation which makes games very difficult.

Meanwhile, his Sea Birds’ counterpart Mpendulo Ngwenya who is a former Swallows’assistant coach was gracious in defeat.
“My players did very well, kept the ball on the ground which was our plan to frustrate Swallows who we knew would come hard at us,” he said.
He said his players were still young and maturing with each and every game such that he was confident they would rise and start winning games soon.
