MBABANE – Wounded Manzini Wanderers will be looking to redeem themselves at the expense of a slowly recovering Malanti Chiefs.

The two teams cross swords at Somhlolo National Stadium in what could prove to be a tricky tie for the maroon and white outfit still smarting from the defeat to Red Lions in their last outing.

No doubt, Wanderers enter as the overwhelming favourites to annex the maximum points at stake. They are eying a top four berth.
Malanti, on the other hand, led by former Wanderers’ Malawian coach Charles Manda will fancy their chances after their credible 1-1 draw against pacesetters and MTN League defending Royal Leopard in their last outing.

WANDERERS:

Last MTN League outing: Red Lions 1, Manzini Wanderers 1
Log position: 5th (eight points)
Coach: Gcina ‘Magiyane’ Dlamini
Captain: Lwazi ‘Shana’ Maziya
Key players: Sanele Chauke, Sifiso Matse and Gcina ‘Kwere’ Mazibuko
Match winner: Sandile ‘Theo’ Motsa – The Wanderers engine room has surely rediscovered his touch. He gives the hub giants so many options and will surely relish prospects of inflicting pain to his former side. Deadly in set pieces, he is the superglue that keeps the team’s midfield together.

MALANTI:

Last MTN League outing: Malanti Chiefs 1, Royal Leopard 1
Log position: 12th (one point)
Coach: Charles Manda
Captain: Sifiso ‘CJ’ Dlamini
Key players: Sifiso Mazibuko, Nhlanhla Gwebu and Mcolisi Mkhontfo
Match winner: Tebogo Motale – The South African stylish midfielder always torments Wanderers, whatever and whenever the occasion. Blessed with quick feet and full of trickery, his deceptive play could unsettle the suspect Wanderers’ defence that has not been fully tested yet since the arrivals of their new Zimbabwean defender  Takawira Chimwanda.
