E11 000 FOR CHARITY CUP’S BEST PLAYER

MBABANE – The Swazi Telecom Charity Cup Spectacular’s Best Player will take home E11 000 for his efforts.


Last year the award, which was won by Royal Leopard attacking midfielder Zweli ‘Mlilo’ Nxumalo carried E10 000. According to the tournament’s rules and regulations, the tournament’s Top Goalscorer will pocket E9 000, which reflects a E1 000 increment from last year’s award, which was fixed at E8 000.


The Best Goalkeeper will receive E6 000, while each Man of the Match will take home E1 500 during the annual season’s opener. The tournament kicks off with a mouthwatering preliminary double header slated for Somhlolo National Stadium on Sunday.


Two-time winners Manzini Sundowns take on Mbabane Swallows in the first game scheduled for 2pm, while defending champions Royal Leopard will play against Manzini Wanderers in the main game that is scheduled for 4pm.


The best coach will take home E5 000, alongside the best PRO, while second best PRO will receive E3 000. Correctional Services ensemble, Green Mamba have already won the car valued at E137 940 after topping the voting charts.
They were followed closely by last year’s table toppers, army side Young Buffaloes.

Am just wondering which criteria is used to select the best player and coach if some teams have to play more games that the preliminary round and the final round.Any ways wish a good tournament for the partaking teams.
